Given that Katy Perry and John Mayer have broken up at least three times already, you'd think they'd just give up on the idea of making it as a couple.
But apparently these two are way more committed to one another (and colossally stupid) than anyone realized, because sources say they may be giving their doomed relationship another chance.
Several witnesses saw John and Katy hanging out in Beverly Hills over
the weekend, and an insider close to KP tells People magazine that the
two musicians are spending time together, but taking things slow:
"They're two very strong-willed people," says the source. "Despite caring about each other very much and wanting to make it work, they are, at their core, quite different."
The insider adds that John and Katy have definitely "buried the hatchet," but are still "just friends"...for now.
Naturally, both parties have declined to comment on the possibility of a reconciliation.
Despite having been broken up for less than a year, John and Katy have both been extremely active in the dating department.
Katy dated Diplo for a while and has now broken up with him almost as many times as she dumped Mayer. She's also been linked to Robert Pattinson, Jared Leto, and rapper Riff Raff. This girl does not have a type!
For his part, Mayer mostly occupied himself with groupies, but sources say he also found time to fight with Chris Martin for Jennifer Lawrence.
